Alessandro answered my prayers! Good news for all of you who didn't have the chance to get OPI Black Spotted or simply didn't want to buy it at e(vil)Bay. I'm happy to show you the new effect top coat Alessandro Go Magic! Nail Dots Black, which I received together with four other nail polishes for review.
German press release:
"Pimp your nails! Machen Sie einen Punkt... oder am Besten ganz viele! Der Pünktchen-Look ist wieder angesagt und der neue GO MAGIC! Nail Dots Black Lack von alessandro International zaubert im Handumdrehen den passenden Style auf die Nägel. Und der Clou dabei: Der Effektlack funktioniert mit allen 99 Farben der alessandro Nagellacke."
1. Alessandro Nail Dots works with any nail polish. Apply a color of your choice and let it completely dry. Otherwise, cracks will appear!
2. Next, apply a super thin layer of the effect top coat. The formula is watery and you don't need much of the product. Don't worry if you're not happy with the first result. You can control the spotted effect by running the brush over the nail a couple of times. Add or remove some nail polish if needed, then let it dry.
3. Finally, seal the design with a top coat. Very important! Alessandro Nail Dots chips off easily. The top coat makes it long lasting and brings out the black color.
Alessandro Neon Pink:
Neon Pink has a jelly finish. It's a bit tricky as a base color. The color combination is beautiful, but I would suggest to use a pink creme instead.
Alessandro Blue Lagoon: Beautiful!
Here I applied a medium layer of the Alessandro Nail Dots.
The spotted effect is great.
A demonstration of what happens when you apply a thick layer of the top coat. The spots are bigger and fine cracks can appear.
Alessandro Mandarinas Mandarine: My favorite!
The less nail polish you use, the more dots you will get.
Here I applied a thin layer.
All the base colors except Neon Pink have a creme finish, which worked great with Alessandro Nail Dots. Depending on which effect you like most, you can vary the thickness of the top coat. I recommend to apply a very thin layer, but that's a matter of taste.
Alessandro Go Magic! Nail Dots is in stores now. It comes in a regular size bottle which contains 10ml (0,35 fl. oz.). The recommended retail price is 11.95€.
Thanks Alessandro for providing me with your nail polishes!
Ladies, now it's your turn! What do you think of the spotted design? Which color and/or "thickness" combination do like most? I'm definitely gonna try it with other finishes too. I bet it looks great with shimmer, glitter and holographic nail polishes.
Thanks for reading and commenting!
